As Oiler, I follow Chief Engineer and First Engineer order. I also have maintenance plan, I always support first Engineer during watch and I enjoy it.
During Voyage.
As Oiler No. 1 I watch common from 04.00-08.00, usually I also assist The Engineers when we got engine trouble, repair, and maintenance at anytime. After watch I spend my free time to call my family first, and then joint with other crews for talking, sharing, joking, but I don’t forget to improve my knowledge by study and study to get more high rank.
During STD/Processing tuna at sea.
I follow Master and Chief Officer orders. Sometimes I handling chain saw and sometimes in the hold arrange The fish.
While in Port.
As Oiler No.1 I work daily in the engine room to assist The Engineers when work. When I completed my job I go shore for shopping, refreshing, eating and I enjoy it. I love my job.
When Vacation.
Of course I spend my time for my family, sometimes we go to playground, and sometimes I go to play football. I also go to The Collage for revalidasi my certificates if already expired. And I also school/take new license if I have time and enough money to get more high rank.
And the last I have to say “ If you don’t have what you want, WORK HARDER” !.
