KENTA MARU at Olhão Portugal 2023-2024

The Kenta Maru has started tuna freezing operation work 2023-2024 the Mediterranean season.

The first calling port is Olhão, Portugal.

One day we had dinner with staff of the TUNIPEX S,A, a local set-net fishing and farming company.

In addition to the dishes prepared by the ship's chief cook (hijiki stew, taro stew, edamame pepperon, handmade tsukune, okonomiyaki, and mapo tofu).

In addition to the wild tunas (caught by set-nets in May) and the farmed tunas (fed in tuna cages from May to September) that TUNIPEX brought to the ship, we compared them.

We compared these sashimi and enjoyed chief cook food with drinks!
